The Referee Review Committee of the Ghana Football Association has cleared referee Emmanuel Dally-Gabga of any wrongdoing.

Gabga received a lot of condemnation, especially from Hearts fans, for his controversial penalty call against them in the Super Clash game against Asante Kotoko.

According to Kessben FM report, the Class One referee, who became the center of discussions following the Ghana Super Clash, has been cleared of any wrong doing.

Hearts of oak formally protested against the referee to the Referees Review Committee, claiming to have been handed a raw deal by the Wa-based referee.

But the panel after a series of reviews of the penalty call and entire match performance cleared him of any wrong doing.

The Committee thus will furnish the executive committee of the Ghana football association with full details of their verdict on Thursday during the EXCO meeting in Accra.

Gabga awarded a late penalty to Asante Kotoko which was converted by striker Sadick Adams to hand Kotoko a vital draw.

In a similar fashion, the Referee Review Committee cleared referee Samuel Sukah of any wrongdoing in the reverse fixture for also awarding a penalty to Hearts.

The panel empowered to review the performance of match officials declared that the penalty awarded by the referee is legitimate.
