The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged Hohoe United for misconduct following their Ghana Premier League match against FC Samartex 1996.
The charge relates to an alleged breach of Section 16(2)(b) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019. According to the association, Hohoe United supporters are alleged to have behaved improperly by throwing objects onto the field of play and at match officials during the game.
The incident occurred during Hohoe United’s 1-0 victory over Samartex at the Hohoe Sports Stadium on Sunday, 1 March 2026.
In the match, Kekeli Attor scored the decisive goal early in the second half, finishing calmly in the 48th minute after a quick attacking move to secure all three points for the home side.
The victory strengthened Hohoe United’s fight against relegation in the league standings.
However, the club must now respond to the disciplinary charge from the GFA as investigations into the supporters’ conduct continue.
