GCB win All Banks Fun games

Accra, Nov. 9, GNA-Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) collected 59 points to win the maiden Iflex All Banks Fun games held at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra on Saturday.

Bank of Ghana came second with 43 points, Standard Chartered Bank took the third position with 42 points, CAL Merchant Bank placed fourth with 36 points, Ecobank was fifth with 23 points, while Apex Bank came sixth with 20.

The seventh and the eight positions were taken by Banking Students and the Stanbic Bank with 19 and 10 points respectively in the games which was organized by the Chartered Institute of Bankers as part of activities marking this year's Bankers Week celebrations and sponsored by Iflex Solutions Limited.

They participated in Soccer, Tug-of-War, Apple Eating, Sack Race and 100 metres race and 110 by 4 relay.

In the soccer finals, Standard Chartered Bank beat Bank of Ghana 4-2 on penalties to lift the trophy while Banking Students took the third position by beating CAL Merchant Bank 4-1 also on penalties.

Miss Mary Buako, Chief Executive Officer of the Chartered Institute of Bankers expressed her appreciation to the company for sponsoring the event. She called on the participants to strive hard and fight for a common goal.
