GBC Ladies Win Netball Competition

Takoradi (Western Region), 15 Oct. Ghanaians have been called upon to recognise Netball as a major sports discipline. The call was made by Mr James Mensah, Managing Director of Super O' Six Lottery Company at a Special Super O' Six Netball tournament in Takoradi last Sunday. Netball like football has not only made it on the local level but also at international. Mr Mensah said his management will support netball as it's contribution to sports development. The chairman of the National Netball Association, Mr E. Nikoi expressed his sympaty to the P&T Netball Club of Koforidua who had a lorry accident on their way to the tournament, sponsored by Super O' Six Lottery. The Golden Hands of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Accra, won the tournament by beating the Twin City Hands of Takoradi 17 games to 14.
