GAABA releases week 14 fixtures

Accra, June 6, GNA - The Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association (GAABA) has released the fixtures for the week 14 of the novelty boxing league, scheduled for the Prisons Canteen in Cantonment on Friday, June 8. Top of the pairings is the lightweight contest between Odoi Yemofio of De-Oak Gym and Joshua Addy of Attoh Quarshie Gym. Addy, the only boxer to have lost all three previous contests is expected to give the Osu-based Yemofio his toughest opposition in the championships so far.

Yemofio, has a record of 2-1, but has vowed to add Addy to his list of victims.

Attoh Quarshie's Evans Dodoo will square up with Eric Addy of Will Power Gym, while Francis Adams of Bronx Gym engages Mike Ansah of Square Deal in the same weight division. In the featherweight division, Mike Pappoe of Panix Gym will come face to face with Raymond Commey of Square Deal Gym, while national champion, Joshua Barnor also of Panix Gym battles it out with Confidence Hamenu of Jah Bless Gym.

Tanko Mandia of Dade Gym and Alfred Adjei of Jah Bless will vie for honours in the light welterweight division, while Emmanuel Kwantana of Sagacious Gym challenges Isaac Lamptey of Attoh Quarshie Gym. In the welterweight division, Daniel Munko will pitch his strength against Ebenezer Amedo of Will Power Gym, with Emmanuel Tagoe of the Panthers Gym will be seeking his first win against Emmanuel Okloo of Sagacious Gym. Samson Dzaku of Akotoku Gym will clash with Forster Gabin of Attoh Quarshie while Emmanuel Baffoe of Believers Gym battles Gideon Osabutey in the light heavyweight and heavyweight respectively.
