Frimpong targets legend status in Young Boys

Ghanaian international, Joetex Frimpong, who debuted for Switzerland side, BSC Young Boys, on Sunday, has declared his readiness to be a legend in the club.

The newly signed Ghanaian forward struck twice in the 36th and 67th minutes, after former Esperance of Tunisia star, Marcos dos Santos had scored the curtain-raiserfor the Berne based club.

“Everyone appreciated my performance on Sunday, so I want to make sure that Young Boys get the best all the time. I am happy playing for a club like Young Boys and was overwhlemed by the reaction of the fans to my performance.

"I beat the goalkeeper and a defender to score the first goal, but the second goal was a World Class goal and the stadium erupted with my name.Goalscoring includes some element of luck which has followed me in all the clubs I have played," he said.

Frimpong was on for the entire duration of the match watched by 14,501 spectators.

The Ghanaan left his former Nigerian club, Enyimba, a legend and would be remembered as the most successful foreigner in the Nigerian league.
