Fresh trouble brews among Olympics management

Accra, Dec. 31, GNA - A section of the supporters union of Accra Great Olympics Football Club - "Agosu Front number one" of Teshie, are calling for the immediate removal of Mr David Fugah, Chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) who has been tasked to run the affairs of the club till a substantive Chairman is appointed. The group is also calling for the exit of Mr Seth Ankrah as financial controller of the new IMC in order not to derail the structures of the club.

A statement jointly signed by Mohammed Andoh and Samuel Okrang, Secretary and Chairman respectively of the Union have threatened that if their proposals are not heeded to, then the club will plunge into serious oblivion.

It challenged the authenticity of a statement signed by Mr Fugah dissolving the technical team headed by assistant coach Abdul Aziz as emanating from the Board of Directors.

The statement said a series of stakeholders meetings were held at which it was agreed that no one had the right to make any pronouncement unless it was from the Chief Patron of the club, Nana Addo Dankwa III. The group has also urged the Board of Directors to put to rest the issue of who is the secretary of the club. Their plea is sequel to the fact that there are currently three names circulating in the media - Captain retired Victus Amenyador, Mr Paul Nkansah and Major Retired Fred Sam- all claiming to be the club's secretary.

The statement urges the board to come out once and for all to put the record straight as to which people constitute the new IMC.
