Great Olympics Board Member, Fred Pappoe has defended the Agosu club’s decision to recruit veteran goalkeeper Richard Kingson, stating that the ex-Galatasary and Wigan shot-stopper still has a lot to offer.
The 36-year-old penned a one-year deal with his former club Olympics and will make his debut for the club once he receives his International Transfer Certificate.
“Barry and a number of them were goalkeepers who were keeping at the time Richard Kingson was keeping. So, Richard Kingson is on a crusade in itself to tell Ghanaians that he is not yet over the top, so I am sure once he starts keeping the post, Ghanaians will see him for who he is,” Fred Pappoe said.
Kingson has been without a club since cancelling his contract with Turkish side Balikesirspor in 2014 after a helping to secure promotion to the top-flight.
