Former Asante Kotoko and Bechem United striker Ahmed Toure has been adjudged the best player in Ivorian topflight after the first round.
Toure, who plays for Asec Mimosa, on Saturday also picked up an award for being the best player for the month of December, a feat that culminated into winning the overall best player for the first half of the league.
Toure produced sterling performances in his first round, helping Asec to the summit after 14 games.
The 30-year old has played 5 games for Asec Mimosas scored 7 goals and 4 assist in Ivory Coast league and also played 2 Champions league matches scored 2 goals.
Toure made a name for himself in the Ghana Premier League playing for giants Asante Kotoko and Bechem United.
The prolific striker almost joined Hearts of Oak at some point in his career but negotiations broke down before he left for pastures new abroad.
Toure had wanted to naturalize a play for the Black Stars of Ghana at some point but that dream never came true.
