The goalkeepers' trainer for Ghana's 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup winning team John Abakah is dead.

GHANASoccernet.com understands his demise was announced on Thursday after a short illness.

He was rushed to a hospital in Cape Coast where he was pronounced dead.

Abakah, nicknamed Goodie, was also trainer for the national U23 team the Black Meteors at a point in his career.
