Former Auditor General Prof. Edward Duah Agyemang has donated $ 1,000 to the Ghana Fencing Association.

The Ghana Fencing Association (GFA) launched a fundraising campaign ahead of their participation in the junior and Cadet Fencing Commonwealth Games in the United Kingdom.

The Ghana Fencing Association is raising $30,000 (GHC139,767), to aid the preparation of the team for the competition, which would be organized by the England Fencing Limited in Newcastle from July 26-30, 2018.

The former Auditor General called on Ghanaians to assist the team as it would be a turning point for the Ghana Fencing Association.

The team is currently camping at the expense of the Ghana Fencing Association.

Ghana’s delegation to the upcoming fencing competition in Newcastle includes six male and female athletes apiece.
