Former coach of Ghana Premier League Champions Aduana Stars, Yussif Abubakar insists he is not in negotiations with Asante Kotoko but would also not rule out the opportunity of coaching the club.

Yussif Abubakar has been linked with the Porcupine Warriors since the arrival of a new management team at the club.

Reports in Kumasi indicate, the new management team led by former Premier League Board Vice Chairman, George Amoako are looking at the prospect of bringing the Premier League winner to the club.

The former Hearts of Oak coach was sacked by Aduana Stars halfway through their CAF Confederations Cup campaign and remains out of job.

“Kumasi Asante Kotoko? Let see what happens. For now, I’m not with any club and I’m not in a negotiation with anyone. But you can’t predict the future,” he said when quizzed about the reports circulating in the media that Kotoko has approached him.

The Porcupine Warriors have had an irregular first half of the season under the tutelage of coach Paa Kwesi Fabin despite placing fifth before the suspension of the domestic league.

The Ghanaian giants have lined up a friendly match with their arch-rivals Hearts of Oak as the club prepares for the return of the top flight league.
