Veteran coach Fred Osam-Duodu has blamed the inability of Ghanaian players to mature to reach their full potential on agents.
The 1978 African Cup of Nations Cup winning coach feels these agents are more concerned about their purse other than the general welfare of the players.
Mr. Osam-Duodu made these remarks when he responded to questions asked on Kapital Radio about the inability to reach their fullest potential compared to their European and South American counterparts.
‘These agents forget about the players as soon they get teams for them rather concentrating on their money. If you don’t get a good agent who will follow your exploits and help you get a higher club you end up staying at where you are. That is a major reason for this problem in Ghana football,’ he said.
Coach Fred Osam-Duodu is currently a member of the Ghana Football Association’s Technical Committee.
