Serie A Club Fiorentina will battle German giants Schalke 04 for defender Baba Rahman.

The Ghanaian international is been chased by the Italian Club who are ready to complete a deal with Chelsea in January.

The 24-year-old is currently having a difficult time at Chelsea after sustaining a chronic knee injury which kept him out for almost a year.

Baba Rahman remains a big target for Schalke O4 who are ready to seal a permanent deal for the left-back after he spent last season on loan at the Club.

The Ghanaian international will have his contract at Chelsea expire at the end of 2019.

Chelsea are ready to release the player who is being regarded surplus under Italian manager Antonio Conte.

Meanwhile the former Kotoko and Greuther Furth defender has begun training with the English giants after recovering from injury.
