Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Felix Annan has been named as the goalkeeper of the year at this year’s edition of the Ghana Football Awards held on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at the Marriot Hotel in Accra.

The goalkeeper enjoyed a good 2018/2019 season and that has helped her pick the top award ahead of Black Stars first choice goalkeeper Richard Ofori and Nana Bonsu of Enugu Rangers.

Under the year in review, Annan manned the sticks for the Porcupine Warriors during their campaign in the CAF Confederations Cup which they managed to advance into the group stages.

The goalkeeper also helped the Kumasi based side to win the tier 1 of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalization Committee (NC) Special Competition.

This is the second year in a row that Felix Anan has picked up the goalkeeper of the year award.

He was part of the Black Stars squad that represented Ghana at the just-ended Africa Cup of Nations held in Egypt.

Ahead of Kotoko’s campaign in the 2019/2020 CAF Champions League campaign, the goalkeeper is expected to be the first choice for his side.
