Kumasi Asante Kotoko first choice goalkeeper, Felix Annan has dedicated the regional derby victory to the supporters of the club.

The record Ghana premier league champions have failed to defeat the 2014/15 champions in their past six meetings but went into the game the better side with two wins and a draw from three games to rivals, Ashgold’s one win, a draw and a defeat.

A 63rd minute strike from former Ashgold forward, Yakubu Mohammed secured the Porcupine Warriors all three points and moved them joint top with leader’s, Aduana Stars.

An elated Annan after the victory dedicated the win to the fans via his official tweeter handle.

“It’s Always Joy When You Win Derby Games Coz It’s For The Fans! Great Character And Thank God For A Wonderful Away Win In The Ashanti Derby,” he tweeted.

Kotoko’s next game is at home against debutant’s, Elmina Sharks on March 5.
