Fawaz Zowk Challenges Hearts Players

A board member of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited, Alhaji Fawaz Zowk has thrown a big challenge to players of the club to prove their mettle as seasoned players in the coming season. Wondering why Hearts cannot boast of any players in the national teams, he reiterated that “It's a big shame Hearts of Oak cannot boast of even a single player in the Black Stars team that will represent the nation at the upcoming African Cup of Nations”. The Hearts Board member was reacting to calls that Hearts does not possess quality stars that are capable of featuring for the national team.

According to him the current situation should certainly become a positive challenge to all Hearts players saying, they should raise their game to make the final grade because it would be a big disgrace to go into the tournament without any of their players in the final squad. “All players of Hearts and Kumasi Asante Kotoko should bear in mind that it only takes dedication and hard work to play for the national side so they should take their game serious. They should eschew indiscipline and focus on their profession because without that it will be impossible to play for the national team, not even in the coming years”. Fawaz said. He noted however that the delay in the Onetouch Premier League season could also be attributed to the low performance of most of the team's players and therefore assured the players that they will receive the necessary support and encouragement during the coming season so they should capitalize on the opportunity and prove to the rest of the world that they are capable of donning the national jersey. He added that the time has come for big clubs in the country to have better representations at the national teams.
