Leicester City has bestowed the title of Men's Young Player of the Year upon Ghanaian international Abdul Fatawu at their annual awards ceremony at the King Power Stadium.

On a loan spell from Sporting Lisbon, the skilled midfielder has won over fans with his standout performances throughout the 2023/24 season.

Fatawu has been a key player in Leicester City's championship run, contributing seven goals and 13 assists since his arrival.

His most remarkable performance came in a 5-0 victory against Southampton, where he scored a hat-trick and assisted Jamie Vardy's goal.

Fatawu also played a crucial role in the pivotal 3-0 win over Preston North End, which clinched the league title for Leicester City.

In light of his exceptional form, the Midlands club is set to activate their purchase option, valued at approximately €17 million ($18.9 million), to make Fatawu's move permanent.

With such talent and potential, Fatawu is expected to be a mainstay at the King Power Stadium for the foreseeable future.
