Fabin ‘highly’ impressed with new U17 management

Ghana Ghana

Ghana’s U 17 head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has lauded the commitment of the new management members of his side insisting they aspire for excellence.

The Fred Crentsil-led management was dissolved after the abysmal they failed to qualify for the African U 17 Championship after being disqualified for fielding an over-aged player.

The new management which is led by Lawyer Kweku Eyiah and assisted by Asante Kotoko General Mnager Opoku Nti visited the technical team at some of the centers during the national scouting exercise.

Impressed with the approach by the new members, Paa Kwesi Fabin expressed surprise at their move insisting none of the former management members had ever visited their scouting exercise.

“I am highly impressed with the conduct of Lawyer Eyiah and Opoku Nti. I never expected them to show up during our scouting exercise.

I knew they will surely come but not at this stage. Usually the management members come when we are at Prampram,” Paa Kwesi said.

“This shows their level of commitment for the job given them. I have not worked with them for long but they have shown signs of commitment and the urge to achieve. I am so far happy with them,” he added.

The scouting exercise which started on the 14th of January saw the technical team visiting all the ten regions will be climaxed with the MRI which will be started today at Prampram where the selected players are currently camping.
