Ghana faces FIFA’s wrath should government fail to withdraw its decision to take the Ghana Football Association to court.

The Attorney General had petition court to start the liquidation process of the Ghana Football Association hence placing an injunction on GFA relating activities eventually halting football in the country following Anas’ expose on corruption by some top officials of the FA as well as referees.

According to FIFA, the situation breaches its codes hence have cautioned government to resolve issues before August 27.

The letter released by the Federation of International Football Association further stresses that Ghana faces a ban should the country fail to meet up the deadline given.

This would eventually leave Ghana out of member associations of the World Football governing body hence the West African country will be missing out on the upcoming FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup as well as the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana will further be stripped off its hosting rights for the upcoming Africa Women’s Nations Cup which comes off later this year.

Anas’ documentary has already led to the provisional suspension of former Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi as well as several football match officials.
