FA Investigating Violent Outburst By Kotoko Goalkeeper

Ghana football authorities are investigating goalkeeper Abdulai Soulama of Premier League side Kumasi Asante Kotoko for battering a security official on Sunday.

The Ghana Football Association and the Professional League Board could sanction the player for misconduct after his side lost 1-0 to arch-rivals Hearts of Oak at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra.

Soulama had earlier charged on referee Samuel Gyasi over two-minutes of added on time. When the security man ran towards him to calm the situation, the goalkeeper hurled punches on the peacemaker.

Football authorities who confided in Goal.com but requested anonymity, said Soulama could be banned or face a heavy punishment if found guilty after the investigations.

There were pockets of hot exchanges and blows in the stands of the stadium after the game.
