Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has predicted the Black Stars will be the first African country to earn a semi-final berth at the World Cup this summer.
“I think the Black Stars will be in the semi-finals of the World Cup because the team and the players are capable,” Badu stated.
“We have got an excellent coach who is mapping out the right strategies for an important impression at the World Cup.
“We did it at the Africa Cup of Nations and I strongly believe we can repeat a similar thing at the World Cup too.
“The hunger of all the 23 players to help the country excel is there for all to see and I know Ghana are ready to make Africa proud,” said the Udinese midfielder, who was dropped from the final 23-man squad due to injury, in an interview with Ghanasoccernet.com.
Badu was part of the Ghana U-20 side that won the World Cup in Cairo, Egypt and was very instrumental at the last Nations Cup.
