JOHN MAHAMA TO PLAY WITH NANA AKUFFO ADDO IN EXHIBITION MATCH
Come Sunday, October 26, the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi will 'explode¢ with football exhibition matches dubbed 'Peace Ghana 2008 Soccer Exhibition¢. The games which are being organized by Authentic Sports Networx are aimed at preaching peace in the face of the impending December elections would have Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II grace the opening ceremony.
In a statement signed by the sports manager of Authentic Sports Networx, Mr.Listowell Yesu Bukarson, the parliament house will put together a football team to be named Parliament XI to play Showbiz XI which comprises pastors, imam, musicians, comedians and media personnel.
The statement went further to explain that another game will be played between Northern Select Side and Southern Select Side on the same day. All the head coaches of the national league clubs have been requested to select their two best players of the season to be factored into either team depending on the geographical location of their club.
The organizers, the statement said, would select eight other players, which will include foreign based professionals to add to the coaches¢ selections to add to the 32 to ensure that each side has a number of 20 players. Coaches Francis Oti Akenten and Isaac 'Opele' Boateng have been assigned to handle the Southern Select Side with Mr.Sabban Quaye as their team manager whereas The Golden Boy Abdul Rasak and Mohammed Gargo handle the Northern Sector team with 'The Black President' Sarfo Gyamfi as their team manager.

The statement reiterated that the event is to create unity and preach peace ahead of the upcoming general elections and urge all to lend their support since football is the passion of the nation and therefore an effective tool for unifying the people of Ghana.
