Exciting derbies in Ghana Premeir league fixtures

The 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League fixtures has been released and have thrown up some enthralling derbies.

Kotoko and Hearts fans have been scanning the fixture list to see when they will be facing one another.

Kotoko will travel to Accra on May Day to face their sworn rivals in the first round with the second round fixture fixed for July 10.

But it's not only the two most powerful Ghanaian teams who will delight the crowd with a number of swash-buckling and lip-smacking derbies lined up for local fans.

Debutant Techiman City will taste their first Premier League action with a regional derby against Berekum Chelsea at home on match day-one.

Champions Ashantigold will reignite their Ashanti regional derby with an away tie in Kumasi against Kotoko on February 28.

Techiman City will again square off in a Brong Ahafo derby against former champions Aduana Stars on March 6.

Hasaacas host Western regional rivals Medeama at the Essipong stadium on April 10.

New Edubiase will clash with Ashantigold at the Len Clay stadium on April 21 and will travel to Kumasi to face Kotoko a week later.

Hearts of Oak will host city rivals Liberty Professionals on May 26.

The 2015/2015 Ghana Premier League season ends in September this year.
