Evans Yeboah, a second vice President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has been elected unopposed as the new President of the Ghana Badminton Federation.

Last Saturday saw the election of new leaders of the Federation at their third annual congress held at the media center of the Accra sports stadium.

Interestingly all contestants went unopposed at the election grounds.
Most delegates after the congress expressed their joy at how some of the rules and regulations were amended.

These are the new faces of the Ghana badminton federation Evans Yeboah – President, Clifford Nii Otoo – vice President, Ernest Sakyi – Treasurer.
The Executive members are H.E. Skido Achulu, Hon. William Quayetum, Frederick Bonzy, Godwill Ntarmal with Ignatius Elletey as the General Secretary.

Newly elected president spoke to the media after the election. He said “We will want to take Ghana badminton federation up up and up, we will want to see our players winning medals at all African games and other international championships.”

He noted that structures would be put in place to reflect modern trends for the Association and create a Premier League for Badminton clubs.

He called for unity and urged members of the Badminton fraternity to study the laws of the game to know the technical terms and techniques in the game.
