Esther wins Tema Lady Prize

Tema, March 13, GNA - Esther Antwi returned 66 net to win this year's Tema Country Golf Club Lady Captain's Prize competition played at Tema on Saturday.

Esther scored 42 In and 42 Out with a Handicap of 18 to beat a field of 100 golfers drawn from the Tema, Achimota, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim golf clubs.

Mona Captan took the second position with 70 net beating Fumi Majekodunmi on count back, while Francisca Vandyck placed fourth with 71 net to beat Florence Etwi-Barimah and Mary Hansonn on the count back. Kojo Choi came first in the Men's Supporting event with 67 net beating Francis Sorgbordjor on count back with Mike Aggrey placing third with 68 net while S. Mustamin was fourth with 69 net to beat Robert Allotey on count back.

E.K. Osei won the Professionals event with 65 gross followed by Baba Akologo with 71 gross while A.S. Ibrahim came third with 80 gross. The one-day 18-Hole Stableford competition was sponsored by Mrs Esi Cobbina, Lady Captain of Tema Golf Club.
