Essien mourns death of Ivory Coast Gohouri

Michael Essien has paid glowing tribute to the Ivorian midfielder Steve Gohouri who was found dead in a river last Saturday in Germany.

Essien, then at Chelsea, played against Gohouri who was with Wigan in the English Premier League.

The Panathinaikos star posted an action of him and Gohouri during a league match and posted: Sad to hear this news. Rest In Peace "Steve Gohouri"

According to Eurosport, Dusseldorf police confirmed the discovery of the Ivory Coast international's body to German outlet Rheinische Post.
