Essien - Not a Naughty Boy!

GUTTED Chelsea star Michael Essien had something to celebrate last night as a drink-drive blood test proved negative.

Recently it was widely reported that the versatile player, had been arrested after failing a breath test after being stopped in South London at 5am.

It now transpires that all charges have been dropped after the subsequent testing of a blood sample, tested independently, proved to be negative. He said: “It’s important people know the truth — I was not over the limit.”

The original arrest was splashed all over the front page of a leading tabloid whilst the truth is hidden away in the inside pages and occupies very little news space!
