Ernest Barfo – a rising star to watch

Ernest Barfo is a Ghanaian Footballer who just joined Al Swehly in Libya and is seriously knocking on the doors of the national teams as he continues to produce quality goals where ever he plays.
Now on holidays in Accra after a hectic season in the tough Libyan league, he has won the hearts of many fans in the war raided country and prays that there is total peace so that he can score goals, which he loves doing best.
The Former Liberty Professional striker who was discovered as a budding talent at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Institute said he is ready to serve Ghana and bring home laurels.
Popularly called Higiuan after the Argentine world class striker, he said he knows himself as a confident striker who is ready to bang in goals at any time.
He attended Abuakwa State College in the Eastern Region and wanted to become a professional footballer, so he joined Liberty and trained very hard under various coaches at the Academy, Youth team and Senior teams.
His idols in football are Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan, Higiuan of Argentina and Diego Maradona, the legend.
Barfo’s best dish is rice and chicken stew, he loves music, dancing, movies and football. His ambition is to play football to the highest levels in England, France, Holland, Spain, Italy and Germany.
He wants to don the Ghana jersey, so he has set targets on the Olympic team to play at the Rio 2016 in Brazil and Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.
His colleagues love him because he is capable of turning half and quarter chances into glorious goals. “I love football, but I love goals that is why I play, and I try to score even when the defenders are tough” he said.
