Eric Bekoe's move to Kotoko collapses

Eric Bekoe’ proposed move to Ghanaian Champions Asante Kotoko has collapsed, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

The 25-year-old underwent a successful medical at the club last month but contractual disagreements have stalled the move.

It was widely believed the former Heart of Lions man had put pen-to-paper on a six month deal but that seems to have hit the rocks after reports emerged he was unhappy with the terms of the contract.

Kotoko acting Executive Chairman Jerry Asare has revealed negotiations between the two parties have buckled.

“I have received an email from his representative saying something different from what was agreed,” Asare told Kumasi- based Fox FM

“We all sat down and agreed on the terms. Before both parties left the negotiation table we all had an understanding with all the figures cleary spelt out,”

“And that is why he joined the team at their pre-season camping base. It was later that I heard that his representative had changed certain things in the contract,”

“He still has some problems and so we may have to go back and see how it goes. Everything was made clear and based on that there was an agreement,”

“I am surprised at the sudden u-turn of the other party demanding this and that. We have made it clear on what we can offer. It is difficult at the moment,”

“I am studying the mail and will call Eric and talk to him.”
