Ghana and Orlando Pirates defender Edwin Gyimah admits it was emotional going back to Black Aces but wants his team to build on the strong display.
The 24-year-old midfielder returned to Mpumulanga Black Aces with his Orlando Pirates side and played a key role in their 3-1 victory.
Gyimah spent last season on loan with Black Aces and his knowledge of how the home side played proved priceless for Eric Tinklers men who picked up all three points on the day.
Goals from Rakhale, Motupa and Ndoro gave Pirates the win though Collins Mbesuma got a consolation for Black Aces.
“It’s was a bit strange coming back to the club I was playing in last season but that is football,” Gyimah told Ghana’s leading football website GHANAsoccernet.com
“We played compact and took our chances and the whole feeling is great.”
“We have to ensure we continue building on the victory, we have had challenges in the past but we have to believe in ourselves and continue fighting.”
The win moves Pirates to 7th on the league table even though they have played a game more than Ajax Cape Town who are on 8th position.
