Edward Sarpong gains promotion to the Portuguese top flight with Portimonense

Ghanaian youngster Edward Sarpong becomes the second Ghanaian in the space of 24 hours to gain promotion to a European top flight after Christian Atsu’s exploits with Newcastle.

The 20-year-old left-back has been phenomenal for the Black and White lads since joining them from Gatefe youth side last year.
