Edubiase strike late to boost relegation chances

New Edubiase edge closer to safety after coming from a goal down to beat Hasaacas 2:1 at the Len Clay Stadium in their penultimate home game of the season.

Frederick Quayson shocked the hosts when he fired Hasaacas into the lead in the 34th-minute, but Bernard Ofori hit back in the 45th-minute with the equalizer.

Alhassan Nuhu missed an opportunity to give New Edubiase the lead when he missed a 52nd penalty.

With the match heading for a frustrating draw for the homeside, Latif Anabila gave Edubiase a dramatic late win in the 90th-minute.

Edubiase are still 11th on the table but the win is significant considering that the all their relegation rivals, except Hearts of Oak won.
