Ebusua Dwarfs striker Gyan happy with scoring form

Ebusua Dwarfs striker Nicholas Gyan believes he is experiencing his best form so far in the Ghana Premier League after netting six goals for the Cape Coast-based side in eight league games.

The 25-year-old forward was the main architect when Dwarfs ended Aduana Stars' unbeaten run this season with a 2-1 win on Saturday. Gyan opened the scoring and was involved in the run-up that leads to his side's second goal scored by Kaman Mohammed before Tanko Mohammed got the consolation for the visitors in second-half.

“It is not debatable. This is my best season because I am always delivering as expected by the technical team, teammates and supporters,” Gyan told Goal.

"I have six goals and leading the top scorer chart which is good news to me and my club. It took me several days, months and matches to even score six goals during last season so I am really excited with my performance this term.

"I was able to score Aduana Stars and I want to repeat it against all the top four clubs this season. It is my belief to build on my improvement and hit double figures.

The premier league is on a one-week break, with FA Cup matches expected to take place and Gyan believes it is good news for his side.

"I had some knocks in the previous games and thinks the break will provide me some free time to relax and return with full strength. The break is definitely good for us and it won't quench our fire," he added.
