Eagles reject aircraft

LOC officials were forced to adjust the Nigeria squad itinerary on Thursday after the contingent touched down in Accra and rejected the aircraft assigned to fly them to their Sekondi base.

An official told KickOffNigeria.com that the squad were unhappy with size of the Ghana Air force plane, saying it was 'too small'.

The contingent opted to make the trip by road, a three hour journey.

But because of the huge crowd of fans and press outside, the team ended up spending about three hours cooped up at the VIP Lounge of the Kotoka International Airport.

They are now scheduled to leave on Friday.
