Dzamefe warns journalists and radio commentators

Justice Senyo Dzamefe, Chairman of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry investigating the participation of the Black Stars in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, has warned journalists and radio commentators to be careful of their reportage and comments on radio because they do not reflect proceedings at the commission.

“Some of the stations are reporting things we have not said here. We don’t want to the axe to fall on anybody, but if you say and write things we have not said, we may be compelled to let the axe fall on you.

“If you have something to say, write to us we will give you the opportunity to come here and say it and we will record you. But if you go about reporting the untruths we will come for you.

Justice Dzamefe reiterated that, the commission is not out to witch hunt people but added that, they will be compelled to witch hunt when the need arises.

“We don’t want to witch hunt anybody, but if you make yourself a witch, we will be compelled to hunt you,” he added.

According to the chairman, his outfit is not trying people for any crime, but wants to establish the fact for the future.

“This is not a trial. We just want to establish the fact so that it will guide our actions in future,” he added.
