Dynamic FC win 2018 Friendship and Football tournament

GoalKick Foundation on Friday 4th May 2018 marked this year’s International Day of Friendship with a football competition at the East La Astroturf in Accra.

FC Dynamic thumped Royal Youth 6-1 to lift the 2018 edition of the Friendship and Football competition.

Sponsored by Gazprom as an International Social Children project and spearheaded by Football for Friendship, the event brought together three U13 football teams to spread the message of friendship and tolerance among children.

Football and Friends is a program that brings children together and encourages them to play the game while upholding the values of friendship, equality, peace and respect and FC Dynamic emerged victors in a 3-team round-robin tournament.

The Acting-Director of the National Sports Authority, Kweku Abedu Wilson reiterated the need for the children to embrace the tenets of football which are unity, tolerance, teamwork and friendship.


The President of GoalKick Foundation Shaibu Ali intimated that he was satisfied with the event. He commended the children who turned up for the event and expressed optimism that the children will put to use the education they received at the event.

“Today we celebrated the International Friendship day. It is a day we used to bring kids together to have fun and socialize and promote the friendship values of friendship, equality and respect for other cultures. I will say the program was a success because we were able to achieve our aim of bringing the kids together. They related very nicely and I believe everyone had fun”, he said.


The winners received a giant trophy and items from the organizers. The participating teams were also not left out.
