Dwarfs Beat Power

Ebusua Dwarfs, using the Koforidua Park as their 26th-week home ground as punishment for crowd violence, hardly felt the effect of the "rod" as they beat Power 2-1.

Dwarfs who had better of the exchanges fought relentlessly and were duly rewarded with the leader on 24th-minute through Ernest Adu. Nine minutes later, Power pulled level when striker Jonathan Abeiku Bani connected to the blind side of goalkeeper Joseph Addo, a fierce shot-a-cross through a forest of legs into the net. Dwarfs redoubled their efforts after recess and pinned Power to their own half but wasted lots of goal scoring chances especially in the 52nd, 62nd and the 79th minutes.

When every thing pointed to a drawn game, Dwarfs fetched the winner with six minutes of playing time remaining. Richard Ackon who had been one of the tormentors in the flesh of Power, fired a grounder from a free kick outside the penalty area into the net.
