Duke Micah’s fight postponed again

Ghana’s undefeated Duke “The Baby Faced Terminator” Micah’s (20-0, 18 KO’s) fight with Mexico’s Mario “El Triturador” Diaz (16-1, 6 KO’s), has been postponed due to the late arrival of the Ghanaian in the United States of America (USA) for the fight.

Information gathered from the camp of the boxer, indicates that, he arrived in the USA on Tuesday evening, a day before the weighing on Wednesday.

With two clear days to the fight on October 19, it will be highly impossible for the Ghanaian to mount the ring in defense of his title as he may not have recovered adequately form jet lag and other challenges with the distance.

The late arrival of the boxer in the USA was due to delay of traveling documents of the boxer to the USA.

The former Olympian was going to make his first defense of his World Boxing Council (WBC) international Bantamweight title against the hard hitting Mexican, on Saturday, October 21.

Micah, who traveled together with his trainer Lawrence Carl Lokko, is expected to step into the ring next month but the organizers of the bout are yet to confirm the date for the fight.

The highly religious boxer expressed appreciation to God for safe arrival and looking forward to a successful arrival in the States.

The fight was originally scheduled for September, but had to rescheduled to October and once again to November.
