Duaf International donates to Amateur Boxing Association

Accra, May 23, GNA - Duaf International Limited, sole agents for Ozone Energy drinks last Friday donated 10 crates of its products to the Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association (GAABA) towards the development of the sport.

The drinks valued at 400 Ghana cedis, is to support the activities of the regional amateur boxing controlling body. Chris Evers, Chief Executive of Duaf International who made the presentation in Accra, said his outfit was motivated by the lack of sponsorship for the sport.

He pledged more future support for the Association's activities to achieve the desired goals to tapping the talents of the youth in sporting activities.

Gideon Quartey, Acting Chairman of GAABA commended Duaf International for the kind gesture, which he described as historic in the annals of the Association and will go along way in motivating them to excel. The presentation ceremony was climaxed by a special contest that saw Emmanuel Bawoweh of Reformers defeat Kpakpo Allotey of Wisdom Gym in the Welterweight division. In the Light Welterweight division, Square Deal's Gym Mathias Sulley beat Emmanuel Botwe of Fit Square Gym via a unanimous decision with Moses Kaba of Reformers replicating a similar fate over Tahiru Atobila of Dade Gym in their Middleweight clash. Wisdom Gym's Bright Ayala outclassed Theophilus Commey of Reformers with a unanimous decision whilst Muaz Hakeem of Stadium Club also recorded a majority decision over Mohamed Nurudeen of Akotoku Gym, both in the Lightweight division. In the Light heavyweight division, Emmanuel Adjei of Fit Square Gym beat Timothy Kumbuno of Reformers via a unanimous decision. 23 May 09
