Head coach of Dreams FC Charles Aknnor has ruled out signing former Asante Kotoko defender Rahim Ayew.

Rahim, who is the oldest son of Ghana football legend Abedi Pele returned from Sweden last week and has been training with the newly promoted side this week.

The former Zamalek man who was a member of the Ghana’s team which reached the quarter final stage of the world in 2010 has struggled to join a club after leaving Asante Kotoko last season.

But reports of a possible return to the Ghana Premier League emerged after he was pictured training with Dreams FC.

But C.K Akunnor who is the head coach of the side says he is not interested in signing the experienced defender.

“Yes its true Rahim has been training with us but it is not for us to sign him,” Akunnor told Accra based CITI-FM

‘”I know him and I have worked with him in the past so when he called me and said he wanted to train with us I could not turn him down.”

“He has a great ability and very experienced but for us he is just training to keep shape like the true professional he is.”
