Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II, the Paramount Chief of Dormaa Traditional Area, on Wednesday, commended the Management, Technical staff and players of Aduana Stars for winning the 2017/2018 premier league.

He expressed optimism that the team’s success in the just ended league season would encourage them to build a strong team for the CAF Champions League competition next year.

Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II said this when he paid a courtesy call on the team at its training session at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Sports Stadium in Dormaa-Ahenkro, in preparation for the official coronation of the club as the GPL 2017/2018 Champions on November 5.

The Paramount Chief couldn't hide his joy and pride for the victory, successes and the honour brought to the Dormaa State and Ghana as well by the club.

"Before the start of the league you promised to annex the title. You have been good to your word and your efforts deserve commendation", he stated.

He promised to put the Stadium in good shape to host visiting teams, which would play Aduana in the CAF Championship.

"We will consider a floodlight for the stadium, the construction of additional stands, including media stands, as well as putting the pitch in good condition", he stated.

The Chief presented the team with an amount of GH?1000.00 for their breakfast and gave the assurance that much will be done for them in recognition of the honour they have brought to the club and Dormaaman later.

In a rare show of gratitude, the Chief posed a question to the players, asking "how much money is given to the winner of the CAF Champions League".

For giving the right answer, Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II gave Wahab Adams an amount of GHC150 for his efforts, whilst Goalkeeper Gordon Yeboah also got an amount of GHC50 for answering the second question posed by the chief, as to the prize money for the CAF Championship league Runner up.
