Former Asante Kotoko captain, Amos Frimpong has urged the Porcupine Warriors not to look down on Accra Hearts of Oak based on their form in the Ghana Premier League this season.
The two most decorated clubs in Ghana have had a torrid spell in the domestic league this season. Kotoko lies in 10th place, while Hearts of Oak are 12th on the league log.
Ahead of the big clash in the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday, May 26, Amos Frimpong implored Kotoko players to give their best in matches.
"Any of the teams can be relegated, and because of the bragging rights, they will give their all on the day. The players will come into the game with their best performance," Amos Frimpong told Connect FM in an interview.
"Games involving the two sides are always difficult, but this time, Kotoko looks like a favourite based on their last three games' performance as compared to Hearts of Oak.
"They need to keep their composure in front of the goal. I have watched them, and they create a lot, but with their composure, they would have scored more.
"When most people expect Kotoko to beat Hearts of Oak in Kumasi, that is when the latter shows up and delivers," Amos Frimpong added.
