While pressure is mounting on hiring authorities to sack James Kwasi Appiah as Black Stars head coach an ex-girlfriend of a Ghana player insists the soft-spoken trainer should not be sacked.

Najat is the ex-girlfriend of TSG Hoffenheim defender Kasim Adams Nuhu who was a member of Ghana’s squad for the 2019 AFCON.

The Obuasi-based lady, who told Asempa FM’s Enoch Worlanyo that she met the central defender on Facebook in 2015, is riding against the tide in her call to maintain Kwasi Appiah in his role as most Ghanaian fans are calling for the head of the former Ghana captain.

“Kwasi Appiah hasn’t done anything wrong. He’s not the problem. However some unfaithful players cost the team with their bad luck,” she said in an exclusive interview with Enoch Worlanyo on Asempa FM.

The beleaguered ex-girlfriend revealed that she had bouts of sexual encounters with the player anytime he travelled to Ghana in the off-season and she now feels ditched.

In a damning revelation, she claims the former Young Boys Bern defender even extorted money from her and is yet to pay back.

“There were times he asked me to send money to his family and I did out of the love I have for him. I did that because I thought he could be grateful one day when things turn well for him,” she said.

In what would come as a shocking revelation to Ghanaians Najat claims she consulted a juju man to work on the fortunes of the player who eventually left Mallorca to Young Boys and succeeded at the club as he won titles and played in the UEFA Champions League before moving to German Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.

“After complaining about how bad things had been for him I took it upon myself to seek spiritual help for him. And, before doing that I asked him and he gave me the go-ahead assuring me that he would fulfil the demands of it,” she stated.

Kasim is 24 years of age and recently played for the Ghana senior national team – the Black Stars at the 2019 AFCON where the West African powerhouse crashed out at the 1/16 stage.

Since Ghana’s elimination from the tournament, pressure has mounted on employers of the coach to wield the axe on the head coach.

A propagandist social media spring group is circulating a flyer with the banner tagline Kwasi Appiah Must Go.
