Dogboe can’t match Tagoe – Gyan

Emmanuel Tagoe’s Manager, Baffour Gyan, has given the clearest indication that Tagoe will knock out WBO Bantamweight Boxer Isaac Dogboe within three rounds if a match is arranged between the two.

Tagoe retained his world title against Argentina’s Fernando David Saucedo at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday, January 27.

There have been calls by some Ghanaian boxing fans that the Ghana Boxing Authority should organise a bout for the two boxers but the former Black Stars striker says the interim WBO Bantamweight boxer will not last beyond Round 3 against Tagoe.

“Isaac Dogboe is a kid to Game Boy, we are praying that he should go far in the path that he has taken but if he makes any attempt of fighting Emmanuel Tagoe, then I don’t think he will last round 3,” he said.

Gyan further disclosed that Baby Jet Promotions is pushing to take Tagoe to the next level after successfully defending his IBO lightweight straps against Saucedo last Saturday.

“We want to tighten his belt, he will now challenge for the WBA, WBO and IBF so that’s what we are planning for.”
