Die Hard Supporters get website

The award winning sports fun group, Die Hard Supporters Union of Ghana can now be reached from any part of the world as they go on the World Wide Web to be known universally.

According to founder Abraham Nkansah the website can be connected by logging on to www.diehardsupportersunionofghana.comand one can get access to information on the popular supporters group.

The founder hinted that the group was formed in November 2008, but was registered on June 30, 2009 and has been able to gain roots all over Ghana. Some of the officers of the group are Stephen Kwame Tandoh, Patron; Ben K Fosu, Secretary; Abigail Twimasiwa Okanta, Womens Organiser; Philip Nana Obisi Koranteng for Protocol, William Adjah, Special Assistant to the President and Founder; Francis Seth Dzizornu, Chief Drummer and Humphrey Adjetey Sowah, National Coordinator.

Abraham Nkansah also known as “Apirigu Chakapama” said the main aim of forming the supporters group was to foster unity among Ghanaians as they support the National Sports Teams and Individuals who perform in the name of Ghana.

He noted that politics has divided Ghana, but sports will aways unite the people. He adviced Ghanaians to think of the nation first and urged everyone to support those who preach peace and unity. He appealed to corporate bodies to come to their aid as they try to support sports in Ghana and commended Tansteve Company in Tarkwa for sponsoring them at a time. He commended the Government and the Ministry of Youth and sports for ensuring that they were at the FIFA World Cup in 2010 and the Orange CAF African Cup of Nations in 2013, in South Africa, where some of their fans were adjudged best fans. On the impending World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Kumasi, he stressed that there is no way Zambia can beat Ghana, and hoped the fans will not misbehave but comport themselves throughout the game and prayed that Ghana will win the final qualifier to make it to Brazil in 2014. “We are going to support the Black Stars massively with 6 buses comprising 300 supporters and we hope to chalk success” he said.

From Kumasi, Die Hard Supporters will go behind the Black Stars again in far away Japan for an international friendly. Abraham Nkansah added that all genuie supporters of Ghana Sports can be registered with Die Hard if the log on the new website, www.diehardsupportersunionofghana.comand also access all information and news.

Die Hard Supporters group is also known to be the first supporters group to support boxing and the lesser known sports like Beach Soccer, Basketball, Handball, Swimming, Athletics, Cycling, Kick boxing, Tennis, Table Tennis and Hockey.
