Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen is set to leave PSV Eindhoven for German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin before the transfer window closes.

The defender has struggled for playtime since joining the Dutch Champions from AZ Alkamaar and with interest coming in from Hertha BSC, the 23-year-old could leave the Eredivisie.

Luckassen joined PSV for around five million Euros and despite his big-money move, he has failed to nail a spot in the club.

The towering defender missed the Dutch Champions games against Fortuna Sittard last weekend and in midweek against Bate Borisov.

After more than a year in Eindhoven, the powerful defender has only managed 22 appearances.

Currently, Luckassen still has a contract until the summer of 2022. But according to reports, he may be leaving the Philips Stadium before the August 31st transfer deadline.

Luckassen previously played in the Eredivisie for AZ Alkmaar and was active in the youth at AFC and FC Amstelland.
