Delay in Black Stars B camping arrangement frustrates Maxwell Konadu

Coach Maxwell Konadu has expressed his frustration over the uncertainty surrounding Black Stars B camping date ahead of 2020 CHAN qualifiers and WAFU tournament.

Ghana will host Burkina Faso in the first leg on 26th September before traveling to Ouagadougou for the return fixture which is set to be played after the WAFU tournament in Senegal.

The locally based national side were scheduled to resume camp in Kumasi on Wednesday but a last minute change of plan by the Sports Ministry meant that the team is still yet to start preparations.

A situation that is causing unease for the technical team who were hoping to get the boys in shape in time for the tie.

With no league ongoing, the technical was hoping to start training early so that they will prepare well for the games.

“We’ve named the squad so we are waiting for authorities to give us the green light so we will call the players for us to start training.”

“We are the defending champions, we’ve won the WAFU twice, it’s (now) the third time and if we win, we win it for keep so if we go to camp early and prepare early and prepare well it will help us all to be able to go and make Ghana proud in Senegal” he said this in an interview with FOX Fm.
