David Moyes questions Andre Ayew's commitment after West Ham exit

West Ham manager David Moyes has questioned Andre Ayew's commitment claiming he opted to re-join Swansea City despite several attempts to stick with him.

Ayew, 28, rejoined the Welsh side in January after spending just a year and a half with the Hammers.

West Ham fans have questioned the decision to sell the Ghana international after he inspired the Swans to a 4-1 win over his former club.

But manager David Moyes has revealed the former Marseille man simply lost interest in the east Londoners.

"Andre Ayew did well enough for Swansea but don’t forget that he didn’t want to stay," he told fans in the London Evening Standard Column.

"At the time we weren’t that keen to lose anyone to our competitors but he made it 100 percent clear he did not want to be at West Ham any longer."

The African scored 12 goals in 50 appearances after making his record-breaking £20million move to the club.
