Darkwa signs to play basketball at Wright State

DAYTON, Ohio — Wright State University says Paul Darkwa, a 26-year-old Navy veteran and native of Ghana, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at the Ohio school.

Darkwa, a 6-foot-7, 230-pound forward/center, has lived in the United States since he was 9. He attended Ramona High School in California before enlisting in the Navy. Darkwa played basketball in the Navy with Francis Ebong, brother of assistant Wright State coach Victor Ebong.

Also signing letters of intent with coach Brad Brownell's Raiders were Tyler Koch, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound guard from Winchester, Ind.; and Darian Carthan, a 6-foot, 180-pound guard from Canal Winchester, Ohio.
